Hello and welcome to my Natural Essential Essence website!

Just a little information about who I am and what my site is all about. I am a 50 year old wife and mother of one (almost 16 year old) son. I started my “Live Normal, Live Healthy, Live Life” lifestyle last year in March of 2015. I went to a class about essential oils at a friend’s house. I was 3 months away from turning 50 and didn’t like the way I had been feeling physically. Nothing major - just not as vibrant, healthy, and energetic. Well, that night lit a passion that hasn’t extinguished since.

The essential oils started to change the way I was feeling. I started to look into MANY different things as far as my surroundings - the chemicals in my food, the chemicals in all the different products that I and my family were using (health, beauty, and personal products and cleaning products), the things that I used to cook (food and the cookware) our food, and just about what might be affecting us in a positive or negative way. I was learning so much about so many different things. I was also sharing these things with my family and the people that I love. I found that many of those that are close to me were concerned about these very same things.

I was cooking some processed foods that were full of chemicals and toxins that were having an adverse affect on our bodies.

Now don’t get me wrong - up to this point - my family and I lived a decently “healthy” lifestyle. We ate a home cooked meal way more often than not. However, not all of the things that I was cooking were the best for us. I was cooking some processed foods that were full of chemicals and toxins that were having an adverse affect on our bodies. The fresh fruits and veggies weren’t always organic and I didn’t really care about the meat we were consuming, on whether or not there were added hormones and antibiotics in them.. So I started to change these behaviors and I started to see a difference in our health - our energy levels - our lives. The other aspect of our lives that comes and goes is the amount of intentional movement that we all three do. Some call it exercise and I have learned to call it intentional movement. At this point, I personally am not moving as much as I would like but as I have also learned, one step at a time and you must give yourself grace as you go along this journey. Finally, emotional/spiritual health is something that everyone needs to be sure that they are keeping in check. There are so many things that affect us emotionally - if we don’t deal with the things that have affected us in a negative way - it can have a huge impact upon our bodies and our health.

The greatest lesson I have learned so far - knowledge is very important. Everyone out there needs to know about their bodies and how they work so they can help their bodies work optimally.

The greatest lesson I have learned so far - knowledge is very important. Everyone out there needs to know about their bodies and how they work so they can help their bodies work optimally. We need to know what is going into our bodies - food going into our mouths, chemicals going onto our skin, and chemicals that we are breathing. Some think I have become cynical …..and to be honest I guess in some ways I have. I feel as though I have been lied to and deceived by the people who produce all of the things we ingest, put on, and breath. However, I also think it is time that we take back the responsibility that is ours for these things and make the right choices about our lives instead of being in the herd just aimlessly following along.

So that is what this website is all about. What I have learned so far and what is working for me and mine…..as well as some of what my closest friends have learned and what is working for them and theirs. See every single person is different - which makes us all special - and what works for me might not work for you because of your schedule, your situation, or your beliefs. However, every little step that we can take to be healthier - is a better step for us all.

Peanut Butter Protein Bars

  • Servings: 36 Balls
  • Difficulty: easy

Ingredients

  • 1 cup natural peanut butter
  • 4 scoops Pure Protein Complete™
  • 1 T Yacon Syrup
  • 2 chia seeds

Directions:

Combine all ingredients together with a mixer until ingredients are combined evenly (1-2 minutes). Roll into balls and enjoy!
